We hope everyone had a joyful and restful holiday season. As we begin the new year, we’re reenergized and ready to take on the rest of the school year together.
Door Decorating Contest Winners
We’re thrilled to announce the winners of our 2024 "Gaming into the Holidays" Door Decorating Contest! Each advisory group creatively showcased a video game theme on their holiday door:
- 🏆 1st Place: Mrs. McLean's 8th Grade Advisory with "All I Want for Christmas... is a Gaming System", featuring multiple video games.
- 🥈 2nd Place: The collaborative efforts of Mrs. Daggy & Mrs. Guerrero-Diaz, working with Mr. Sawicki & Mrs. Concepcion’s advisories, with their festive Holiday Tetris design.
- 🥉 3rd Place: Mrs. Cordova's 7th Grade Advisory with Subway Surfers Xmas.
Upcoming Events and Assessments
- MOY STAR 360 Assessments: Over the next two weeks, students will take the Middle of the Year STAR 360 assessments in Reading and Mathematics. Please encourage your student to put in their best effort!
- ACCESS for ELs: English Learners will be completing their ACCESS assessments to measure their academic language development.
End of the 2nd Quarter
The second quarter ends next Friday, January 17th. Please remind your students to check their grades and submit any outstanding work.
Club Sign-Ups
With the end of the quarter, students will have an opportunity to sign up for clubs. Students with perfect attendance this week will get the first opportunity to register, so encourage them to be present every day!
