Attention 8th Grade Parents: CPS High School Applications Open Now!
It's time to start planning for high school! The application process for Chicago Public Schools (CPS) high schools for the 2025-2026 school year is now open.
Here's what you need to know:
- Apply online: Head over to GoCPS (https://www.cps.edu/gocps/) and get started on your application.
- Deadline: Don't miss out! Applications close at 5:00 pm on November 15, 2024.

- HS Application Workshop: Join us on Wednesday, October 2nd from 4:30-5:30 PM for a helpful workshop to guide you through the application process.
- CPS High School Fair: Explore your options at the Network 8 CPS High School Fair on Thursday, October 3rd from 5:00-7:00 PM. Register here: [link to registration form].
- Testing:
- The HSAT (High School Admissions Test) will be held on Wednesday, October 9th at Evergreen Academy Middle School.
- The Multilingual HSAT (offered in Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Polish, Spanish, and Urdu) will be on Wednesday, October 16th.
- Open Houses: Get to know your potential future schools! Open Houses are happening this Saturday at:
- Lindblom Math & Science Academy
- Walter Payton College Prep
